TOGETHER
TOWARDS ENHANCED COORDINATION OF DISASTER RISK MANAGEMENT AND GOVERNANCE THROUGH A HOLISTIC FRAMEWORK FOR MULTI-LEVEL AND CROSS-SECTORAL INTERACTION AND COMMUNICATION

TOGETHER strengthens disaster risk management governance by improving how authorities, sectoral actors, businesses and communities coordinate before and during crises. The project combines interoperability frameworks and an AI-enabled system to turn information into actionable insights and support better risk-informed decisions. It co-creates, tests and validates the toolkit through real-world innovation hubs and replication activities to ensure it works across different governance settings.
Coordination is essential to reduce disaster risks and build resilient communities facing increasing climate threats. There is also a need for better governance and improved communication to reduce disaster impacts. With this in mind, the EU-funded TOGETHER project aims to foster cross-sector collaboration for disaster resilience. Specifically, the project is developing a toolkit that includes data-sharing frameworks, an AI-powered system for actionable insights, and governance solutions that improve coordination. Tested in innovation hubs in Greece, Norway, Portugal, Spain, and Türkiye, the project’s solutions aim to enhance inclusive, efficient disaster risk management for a safer, more prepared future.
