The Horizon Europe research and innovation project TOGETHER was officially launched during a two-day kick-off meeting held on 19–20 November 2025. Bringing together 20 partners from 11 European countries, the meeting set the foundation for a three-year collaboration aimed at improving disaster risk management and governance across Europe.
Discussions focused on stakeholder engagement, the development of a shared technical toolkit, and ensuring that project results remain usable beyond the project’s lifetime. Pilot sites, including Disaster Risk Management Innovation Hubs (DRMIHs) in Oslo, Egaleo, and Orihuela and Replication Sites (RSs) in Lisbon and Istanbul, contributed local perspectives, highlighting the importance of co-creation, interoperability, and trust in building resilient governance systems.
The kick-off meeting marked an important first step toward developing practical tools and frameworks to support coordinated, inclusive, and future-proof disaster risk management and governance in Europe and beyond.
