NORSAR is a research foundation specialized in seismology and applied geophysics, with long experience delivering high-quality research and consultancy services to the public sector, businesses, and society at large, since 1968. The Hazard and Risk Modelling (HRM) group has conducted many national and international projects related to multi-nature hazards assessment, exposure, physical and social vulnerability analysis, safety and risk assessment, resilience modelling, natural disaster risk management and mitigation strategies.


The City of Oslo holds both municipal and county functions and is responsible for a wide range of services, including education, culture, health and social care, child protection, housing and urban renewal, local roads and transport, parks and green areas, environmental issues, and land use and urban planning. The Agency for Emergency Planning is a strategic staff agency for the City of Oslo in the contingency and emergency field. Its purpose is to ensure the municipality’s emergency duties in war and peace are properly safeguarded, including advising, guiding and supervising agencies’ and districts’ emergency work.

Founded in July 1961 as a Research Centre for Nuclear Research, Demokritos is today the largest multidisciplinary Research Centre of Greece with approximately 180 Researchers in tenured and tenure-track positions and over 500 Research Personnel working in projects funded mainly by grants from State Funds, the European Union and Private Industries. 


The Municipality of Aigaleo is located in the western area of ​​the urban complex of Athens and has developed on both sides of the ancient Sacred Way. Egaleo is one of the oldest Municipalities of the country and has always been a magnet for settlers.  Its population, according to the 2011 census, is 69,940 inhabitants, but in reality, at least 100,000 people live and work in the city. Our Municipality, in times of crisis, is developing remarkable action in social protection and solidarity with structures and programs.  


The Resilience Advisors Network (RAN) is a network of 200+ emergency and disaster management practitioners with hands-on experience across prevention, preparedness, response and recovery. RAN forms specialist teams to support clients and projects aimed at strengthening resilience at national, community, local and infrastructure levels. Its work includes policy development, operational improvement, training and evaluation, and support for research and innovation. RAN also connects stakeholders through the Crisis Management Innovation Network Europe (CMINE).


EENA, the European Emergency Number Association, is a non-governmental organisation with the mission to contribute to improving the safety and security of people. The organisation supports collaboration, learning and the exchange of good practices across the public safety community, with the aim of ensuring citizens can access the best possible help in an emergency. EENA provides a platform and space for everyone involved in public safety to collaborate and learn.


SAMARITAN INTERNATIONAL e.V. is an international non-governmental organisation comprising 21 member associations in 19 European countries. Its network brings together almost three million members, 150,000 volunteers and 45,000 full-time employees, providing strong expertise across social services, civil protection, rescue services, first-aid training and international humanitarian aid. Cooperation also supports disaster prevention and the development of international civil protection systems.


The University of Alicante was created in October 1979 on the structure of the University Study Centre (CEU), which was started in 1968. Thus, Alicante recovered in this way its university studies centre that was suspended in 1834. The University of Alicante is an open, responsible and transparent university that encourages participation and the reuse of open data with effective support of Information Technology (IT).

The University of Agder is a government-owned university, headed by an elected Rector and an appointed University Director. It has six faculties and one teacher unit governed as a whole by the University Board, which consists of a majority of members elected by faculty, staff and students and a minority of external members appointed by the Ministry of Education and Research. 


Eucentre is a private non-profit foundation that pursues a mission of research, training and service provision in the field of earthquake engineering and, more generally, of risk engineering. Founded in 2005 as an evolution of the European Centre for Training and Research in Earthquake Engineering already active in Pavia since 2003, it was established by four Founders, the University of Pavia, the University School for Advanced Studies IUSS of Pavia, the Italian Department of Civil Protection, the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology, to further develop the scientific, research and training expertise in the sector present in Pavia.
